6-01-08: Kudzu.com narrowly misses out on the GA state road race.  Sitting 24 seconds down on general classification the team lead Oscar Clark out for the two time bonuses netting twenty seconds, however Oscar was determined to take the overall and initiated a break with about 25 miles to go.  Eventually joined by his teammate Jafer Beizer and a few other riders the break rode away on the rolling course.  In the final kilometers Oscar attacked hoping to setup his teammate Jafer for the win, however Ty Magner jumped with about 500 meters to go as Jafer tried to reel him in.  Unfortunately, the finish line came too soon and Ty held his gap by a fraction of a second.  Oscar went on to win the Overall for the Stage Race, with Jafer second in the State Championship RR.

5-31-08: Newsflash: Fulton Flyers team member Cody Hall was involved in a serious last lap crash in the Union City Mayor's crit today, please keep him in your thoughts, more to follow on his condition.

Union City Mayor's Race

5-26-08: Tour of Atlanta Update
The Kudzu.com U23 Elite Team swept the top four places at the "Tour", winning SIX of the seven stages in the elite field.  Their Panaracer tires and Blue Competition Cycles helped keep them in the action over five days of racing!  Key to overall results was the Team's 45 second victory in the 13 mile TTT.  The teamwork and tactics used allowed the team to control the race and win nearly every stage.  Though still in the Junior ranks, Fulton Flyers Junior Team members Michael Stone and Nick Savadelis helped propel the TTT per the "combine" rules.  Also, Nick sacrificed his overall when he gave Oscar his rear wheel in the road race, thereby preseving Oscar's 4th overall.

                                                          Team Results:
                                                               Overall:
                                                          1) Jafer Beizer
                                                          2) Joey Rosskopf
                                                          3) Thomas Brown
                                                          4) Oscar Clark
                                                          7) Michael Stone (FFCC Jrs)

                                                           Stage Wins:
Stage 2: Street Sprints Oscar Clark
Stage 3 and 5: Circuit race and road race Jafer Beizer
                                                 Stage 4: Team Time Trial
Stage 6 and 7: Criteriums Thomas Brown

Also, Dylan DeGan of the FFCC Juniors placed 7th overall in the Competitive (4), with several top placings over the 7 stages.

Jafer also picked up a 3 second bonus by winning a King of Mountain (KOM) sprint, so we are awaiting Stage Race results (expect Jafer to be around 7 to 9th overall for the weekend).  The Stage Race is results are based on overall time for the weekend of racing - Time Trial, Criterium & Road Race.
In the Women's event, Elizabeth Lee grabbed 9th in the  RR, placing 5th overall.
